doing your knock-down bookshelf by yourself!

akhirnya, ke plaza ambarukmo :P the brand new mall in town... sempet mampir ke carrefour (did i spell it correctly? cmiiw) dan beli beberapa set lemari buku... (sebenernya dah lama mau nyari lemari buku buat menampung buku-buku yang berserakan) murah sih, tapi harus ngerakit sendiri... awalnya sih mikir, "ah gampang, paling cuma pasak, sekrup, paku sana-sini-situ" ternyata setelah dijalani... FIUWH! CAPEK DAN SUSAH-SUSAH GAMPANG YA!!! X_X jadi tukang kayu dadakan... but it's ok, i'm proud of my work anyway... :)

ada dua set lemari buku yang kudomentasikan proses perakitannya... yang pertama rak buku terbuka, tingkat kesulitan: mudah... beginner juga gampang2 aja kali (nyatanya aku dah ngerakit dua dalam dua hari ini, dan masih ada 2 punya papah & mamah yang mau dirakit lagi), tapi capek banget soalnya waktu ngerakit yang pertama aku belom punya electric screwdriver! ngengkol muter2 skrup sana sini.... hahahaa it took about 2 hours to finish a bookshelf, but only about 40 minutes for the other one since i've had the electric screwdriver...

yang kedua, lemari buku pake pintu... tingkat kesulitan: lumayan susah, since it has more holes, nails, screws, etc. butuh waktu 15 menit buat mempelajari manual perakitannya... rumit oiy!!!!
perakitan lemari ini penuh dengan kegagalan2 kecil yang mengakibatkan beberapa pasak kecil patah dan harus di-lem alteco :)) selain itu, ada kegagalan yg lumayan besar dalam pemasangan engsel pintu... tapi overall, it's good... gak keliatan kok kesalahan2ku dalam perakitan... hehehe... spotless :P

Oiya, lem kayu!!! (in case, something happens :P) dan dua macam palu... satu palu ringan dengan lapisan plastik untuk mukul2 bagian kayu biar pasaknya masuk... satu palu besi untuk pasang paku....

Chindil ma Chendol dah kembali ke Yang Maha Kuasa... :( but, there are still four of the hamzky family! wanna see them in action??? just watch them below!

2 April 2006... it'll be the day when Chindil & Chendol move in to my house...

Just got a couple of campbell hamsters today :) here the story goes...

setelah kemaren ngelihat hamster "stampboom" lucu-lucu di counter petshop hamster toga mas, jadi pengen punya hamster lagi... saking pengennya sampek kemimpi-mimpi... alhasil, tadi pagi bangun langsung bilang sama mamah kalo aku pengen hamster... she's ok as long as i take care of them by my self! then, i went searching in the internet about hamster... i don't want to be a bad "adopter" this time... after a long history of my "lost or died" pets... (my first pet was a cat- runaway from my house with his girlfriend; my second pets was a couple of red campbell albino hamsters- one died, and the other runaway from its cage; my third pets was 6 golden syrian hamsters- the girls once born their kids but then the moms ate it x_x, the others were runaway)

actually, i planned to buy the hamster tomorrow or the other days, i want to know more about the "variant" and decide the best, whether i'll buy roborovskis, campbells, winter russians, or the others. my mom and i went to Progo, then i went to shopping centre (nearby) to buy a book about hamsters. i scanned the book, and suddenly an idea strucked my mind... it told my mom, "how about going to a pet shop?" she said "yes", and there we went...

at first, i just wanted to see the cage... but then, i was involved with the shopkeeper seriously... (impulse buying!) i bought a mid-size cage with some add-on toys, a stand-alone jogging toys, a "cleanster" - a bathroom, a pack of bathing sand, a pack of woodshavings, a small box of hamsfood...

then, i broke... hahahaha...

then we went home, i cleaned up the cage, set up the toys, cleanster, food container etc... i was hoping that chendol and chindil will run away here and there... playing the jogging toys, instead... i got them sleeping soundly... uh! just remembered that hamsters are a "night animal" they sleep during the day, and play during the night... huhuhuhu... i left them...

chendol woke up first, then chindil did. this time, they sniffed around... looking for the seeds for their late dinner...

it's so funny when they are taking a bath... they roll their body here and there... just like "a mad dog"... hahaha x_x

chendol loves the jogging toys so much... he run and spin it over and over... while chindil just sit in her "bathroom" house... she likes to take the woodshavings into the cleanster whereas i've put bathsands there... it mixed up! x_x huhuhu

i'm looking for another hamsters... i think i'd buy another two or four more... hehehe... but i have to audit my financial condition first! t_t
